UCRE (UTAH Commercial Real Estate) Task Force

The Utah Commercial Real Estate Task Force (UCRE) has been working in collaboration with PacifiCorp / Rocky Mountain Power (RMP), Utah Clean Energy, New Buildings Institute, Utah’s Stakeholders, and the Salt Lake Office of Sustainability over the past several months. The goal of this collaboration was to focus on PacifiCorp / RMP’s Energy Efficiency Incentive Offerings relative to Utah’s commercial building industry and Utah’s Air Quality.

A “Path to Net Zero” proposal was created, reviewed, modified, then vetted by professionals in the commercial real estate development field. The UCRE then submitted a survey to the commercial real estate stakeholders in the State. The survey results will be used to assist with drafting the final proposal.

The findings of this proposal will be presented to PacifiCorp / RMP to assist in the creation of their new energy efficiency incentive offerings to Utah’s new building construction & major building retrofits for Utah’s Commercial Real Estate, State, City, County, and Institutional stakeholders.

Anything we can do to work together to improve Utah’s Air Quality and Incentivize the Commercial Building Industry is a win-win for Utah, for RMP and for all the stakeholders in Utah’s commercial building development community.
